    Log in to My Library account
    1. Log in to My Library account
    2. Enter your library card number or username and password
    3. Click Login

    You are now logged in to your account. Always remember to log out to protect your personal information.

    Remind me of my password

    If you have forgotten your password you can have it emailed to you from the 'Forgotten your password?' link on the login page. The email will be sent to the first email address we have on record for you, which you can see when you have logged into your My Library account.

    Change my password
    1. Log in to My Library account
    2. Choose Change my password.
    3. Enter you library card number or username. An email with password reset link will be sent to you.
    4. Enter and confirm your new password.
    5. Press Submit: your password is updated immediately

    Check and renew borrowed items

    A small number of Library members can borrow items, for example, Wellcome Trust staff.

    1. Log in to My Library account
    2. Choose Checked Out Items
    3. Use SORT BY DUE DATE to see your borrowed items in the order they are due for return
    4. Renew borrowed items using RENEW ALL, or by selecting individual items and choosing RENEW SELECTED ITEMS.

    You may need to scroll down the page to see your borrowed items. There is a limit to the number of times items can be renewed before they need to be returned to the Library.

    View store requests (holds)
    1. Log in to My Library account
    2. Choose Requests

    You will see the title, status and pickup location of your store requests. You may need to scroll down the page to see your store requests.

    Subscribe to My Library account feed
    1. Log in to My Library account
    2. Select the orange RSS feed link
    3. Subscribe to the feed in your browser or via a web-based feed reader.

    Feeds are generated by events on your account, such as a store requests (holds) becoming available for pickup. Feeds supplement but do not replace emails you may receive about your Library account.

    Save searches and re-run them

    Saving complex searches or those that you run regularly means you won't have to rekey them each time.

    1. Log in to My Library account
    2. Search the catalogue. You can use any type of search, e.g. word, author, title, etc.
    3. Choose Save this search - it appears at the top of your search results
    4. You can search and save more searches, up to a maximum of 10 saved searches
    5. To see your saved searches choose My Library Account and then Saved searches

    To use saved searches:

    1. Log in to My Library account
    2. Choose Saved searches
    3. Re-run the search using the Search link on the right

    To delete saved searches:

    1. Log in to My Library account
    2. Delete all saved searches by choosing Remove All Searches
    3. Delete individual saved searches by checking the Mark for Remove box and then choosing Update List

    Get email alerts for new items of interest

    Email alerts can be set up for saved searches. You will receive weekly email alerts when the library adds new items to the collection that match your saved searches.

    1. Log in to My Library account
    2. Choose Saved searches
    3. Check the Mark for Email box
    4. Choose Update List

    To cancel email alerts:

    1. Log in to My Library account
    2. Choose Saved searches
    3. Uncheck the Mark for Email box
    4. Choose Update List

    If you don't have a specific search which you want to run, you can instead set up RSS feeds for new acquisitions in the Library's collections.

    My Lists

    With My Lists you can manage your own lists of Library catalogue records.

    1. Log in to My Library account
    2. Search the catalogue
    3. Check the box next to any item in a result list that you want to put into your lists
    4. Create a new list, or select an existing list
    5. Choose Save to My Lists

    The items are now in your lists.

    1. Log in to My Library account
    2. Choose My Lists
    3. Choose a list name to see the records in the list

    From here you can view and edit your lists, move items between lists, change the title or description of lists, and request individual items from the closed stores.

    My Checked Out History

    My Checked Out History lets you see what you have checked out, starting from the time that you opt in to My Checked Out History.

    1. Log in to My Library account
    2. Choose My Checked Out History
    3. Choose Opt in to My Checked Out History
    4. After opting in, you wil see a list showing an item's title, author, the date it was checked out, and other details
    5. You can view, delete, or export items from My Checked Out History

    To opt out of My Checked Out History:

    1. Log in to My Library account
    2. Choose My Checked Out History
    3. Delete All items in My Checked Out History
    4. Choose Opt out of My Checked Out History
    5. You may opt in again at any time

    My Checked Out History is only available to Library members with borrowing privileges. Library staff do not have access to the Checked Out History of Library members.

    Linking accounts

    As from 19 May 2020, it is no longer possible to link your library account with your social media account. If you have linked accounts previously, please use your library account to log into the library website.
