Description
Written in a neat humanistic hand, 18 lines to page. Illuminated initial R on first leaf in gold and colours, with marginal decoration: other initials in alternate brown and blue, headings in red: the Index is wholly written in red. Fol. 1 (red) Tractatus De uenenis a magistro Pe/tro de Abbano editus.//[R]Euerendissimo in chri/sto patri et domino. N.//diunia prouidentia summo/pontifici... 50, line 16 ... et ideo mater/omnium medicinarum a medicis est/appellata. 50v (red) Tabula capitulorum.//De prologo 1. 53 Questio utrum tiriaca etc. 83. The pagination has been cut out in binding. Below the text on fol. 1 are the emblazoned arms, within a gold circle and wreath, of an unidentified cardinal. The last leaf is blank except for four lines of Latin verse, written in an 18th century. hand.
