Plate to an edition of 'Conférence de Monsieur Le Brun sur l'expression générale et particulare', a lecture first given around 1668, and later published with illustrations from Le Brun's own work, firstly with engravings by Étienne Picart (1698), then as 'Expressions des passions de l'ame' (1727) with reduced text and engravings by Jean Audran, which this English edition closely follows
