Description

Christ (marked "Medicus, Matth. 12") holds a glass heart containing a boar, a frog and another object, perhaps a bottle, all representing sins. The water emanating from his side into the sick woman's cup is labelled "Livore eius sanati sumus. Esai 53." A globe bearing a cross hovers next to the heart, marked "Fiat. Portans oia verbo virtutis suæ. Hebr. 1." A woman beneath it (marked "Matth. 0. Fides tua te salua fecit") holds a small crucifix and holds the sick woman's wrist

Miracula Christi ... Lettering continues at length around the border. Scenes of Christ the healer are mixed with illustrations of sacred physical substances: manna from heaven, rock (1. Corinthians 10), a column of fire (Exodus 13) etc.
