Lettering

Explanation of the naval medal presented by the medical officers to Dr. Jenner 1801. ... Thos. Harper fecit sigillum Fleet Street. Lettering continues: "Apollo the god of physic presenting a young sailor just recovered from the vaccine inoculation to Britannia who in return extends a civic crown on which is written the word Jenner. On the reverse an anchor with motto's expressing the reign of George the third and the naval admininstration of Earl Spencer."
